    Wanted your guys opinion.

I have a 2014 4Runner with a full icon set up. I have the dual shocks up front and think it's overkill for my means.

I've been thinking of selling both my bypasses and my Coilovers and swapping to only ADS Coilovers with Resis.

Do you think this would still be a good set up? I don't do anything too rough. I take it easy off-road.

Also, what do you think is a fair asking price for icon 2.5" RR coilovers, icon omega triple bypass shocks, and the dual shock mounts? They have about 20000 miles on them.

    Do they offer compression adjusters?

This is my current set up.

Ask Cliff @tubbsisland about prices for those Icons. That setup does look great, and I'll bet it rides pretty good too, so why the big change? You have way more adjustability with that setup especially with the CDC Resis...or atleast it looks like you may have them. If not you just have them added to your resis

On the other hand, I wont say ADS is a bad idea, you'll definitely love the quality. ADS does have compression adjusters, you can see them in both my builds on the 2.5 Tacoma coilovers with resis and 3.0s on the Tundra. ADS vs Icon in that sense, you get 20 settings vs Icon's 10.

Also just realized this thread hasn't been introduced to the first Tundra 3.0 coilover ever built! Built by none other than Brian at ADS himself  I've definitely used and abused these bad boys, including @jberry813  Tundra application I know, but worth noting for superior quality and once again ADS earning their place in the big leagues! Still need to figure out what route I wanna take for the rear end..

This was the mock up shock (Bottom) built but here's the comparison to their 2.5 and the 2.5 TRD Pro Bilstein shock (Top and Middle)

I really like this set up, just a few things weighing on my mind.

One is that this set up is beyond overkill. I am never flying off-road, and I feel that the secondary shock just isn't necessary.

When rebuild time comes along, I'll have 6 shocks to rebuild with 4 of them being triple bypasses. Icon quoted me 700 bucks each for the bypasses on a rebuild. I live in an apartment and have nowhere to do it myself or I'd try to learn how. Can't afford that hit. Getting rid of two of the shocks would help me out.

Lastly, if I can, I'd love to make a small profit. The whole set up from Icon is insanely expensive. I know they are used, but used bypasses, Coilovers with clickers, and all the set up for the dual shock should put me over the cost of new ADS Coilovers I would think.

Also, cars are getting stolen more and more frequently in LA lately. The more flashy the parts, the more likely it will be mine :(
Trying to possibly sell my DVD player headrests for the same reason haha.

Then, down the line when I have a garage to work on it, I can get my total chaos LCAs and reconsider the dual shock. That would be far down the road though!

Also definitely don't have my mind made up. Just looking at some options.

I love your truck and I normally hate tundras. Sad I didn't see it in Flagstaff

Well shit, I have been pretty inactive in this thread as far as responding and updating the OP. The last few months have been quite busy for me with work/school. I just noticed that many of the links (mainly Other's Builds) don't go to where they're supposed to go. Somehow some are correct while others are off. I will slowly begin to work on fixing these and adding those that I've missed since I last edited the thread back in February!

Are ADS shocks progressive or digressive. One of the vendors on here told me they were digressive but I keep seeing them mentioned as progressive.

From ADS....The OEM bolt in Tacoma coil-overs are digressively valved on the rebound side and they run progressive valving on the compression. The main reason for this is to give you the stable ride for on road and less of the harshness when traveling off-road.

The really nice thing about rebuildable shocks is that you can have them revalved to fit your specific driving habits and needs. Also adding in compression adjusters can make it easier to make these adjustments on the fly.

    ...too much shit to list.
For those worries about "digressive" here, the piston is a standard piston. Not a shitty two piece dished piston that preloads the valve shims to get a digressive profile. On the rebound side the ADS OE valving start with thicker shims for slow speed shaft movement and thinner shims for mid/high shaft speed movements. This gives a slightly digressive curve, but not from preloaded shims.

A month later, I have finally completed updating all of the links in the OP! They should all work correctly now and if they don't please let me know!

Placed my order last week with Matt at MCM for an ADS setup for my 2016 TRD OR. Everything arrived today. I went with the R/R coilovers with compression adjusters, rear bypasses, and Deaver U402 leaf springs. I also plan on adding the rear hydro bump in the future. Very impressed with the quality of ADS's products! I have run multiple Icon and fox setups in the past. All performed well, but where a step or two below ADS in quality. Cant wait to install everything and see how it performs! I will be running TRD Beadlocks with 285/75/16 KO2's

Awesome Eric! Everytime I see them, I want to upgrade to the R/Rs in the front when I service my coilovers. How do you like the Deavers when riding around without any weight in the bed in the city? That should probably be next suspension upgrade rather than RRs or Dirt King upper and lower control arms haha.

Swapping the rear pack out you mean? I'm thinking of these shocks, but have heard mixed things about the Deavers I currently trying have.
