Appointment already scheduled with local Toyota website for 4.3 swap. You don't even have to go anywhere, they said they can do everything virtually!

I updated. Went back to dealer today to drive it again. Buzzy Vibrations confirmed from 1800 to 2200 rpms.

I have it on good authority that the 2017 autos are going to come with 3.55 gears and a new carrier that will prevent the installation of gears greater than 3.55. Something about CAFE standards.

take it with a grain of salt. the OP is never going to be happy with any 3rd gen Tacoma. me thinks he should have bought a BMW. would have been more up to par with his personality

I had a 2011 335D (twin turbo diesel) for my daily driver prior to the Tacoma. It was in the shop once a month with a CEL. They are finicky cars/motors. I also had a 2003 Ranger with 160k miles that I used for my hunting guide stuff, bird dog training, hunting and off road needs. It actually had less squeaks, howls and vibrations than my 2016 Tacoma--it certainly never needed the rear end replaced due to howling/bearing noises. Got rid of both to get down to one vehicle that could do it all, in the Tacoma.

Let's make an effort not to get personal here, deal?

Guys. Guys. Wrap your heads around this:

Think about how much time each of us spent reading this thread, then multiply that by the number of people that read this (and will read this), and THAT equals how much f***ing wasted time was created. Here's the equation for more "mathematical" minds out there:

    W * T = F

W = time spent reading entire thread
T = number of people who read it (and will read it)
F = the ridiculous amount of cumulative time wasted in the world

That's asking a lot on here lol.
I was just out getting lunch and this dude pulls up in a 16 AC OR just like mine in MGM, gets out and spends a few seconds admiring his ride. At first I thought cool, nice truck. Then the devil on my shoulder whispered - Yeah man he seems happy, let's tell him about TW and fuck with his life! And I did :anonymous:

    Ha! I knew it!

Well, clearly you are unhappy with your Tacoma. Instead of complaining on here and being a DB to so many people, I had merely suggested you consider getting rid of it. Why drive something you are unhappy with if you can afford something you will be happy with? Oh - and keep in mind you bought the first year of a brand new re-design. There are GOING to be growing pains with it...
