BHLM vs. Buying aftermarkets

Yes I'm aware theres 8 million posts about headlights but none answered my specific question...

My stock headlights (2006) are foggy and look like the typical terribly clouded lights on most 10 year old vehicles. With that being said, they are not eligible for the BHLM. Therefore, my dilemma is presented below:

I don't really have the time to order a pair of OEM headlights and wait for them to come in and then do the BHLM on them, not to mention I would also be scared of ruining a brand new pair of lights. So my question is: Would I be able to get away with a pair of aftermarket already black housing headlights and just seal them up really good before I install them? I don't want to buy nothing cheap or something that will end up with condensation, so if that's the risk I would be taking I will just wait.

Has anyone had any success with sealing aftermarket ones yourself?

 

What are you going to do with the "cloudy" pair? I'd be interested in them at the right price

Come with bulbs, plug & play.
Have had them on for a year and no issues.
They are eagle eyes... I dint know what brand till I opened the box.

 

I just went ahead and jumped on a set from Amazon for like 130 bucks shipped! once I get them installed and as long is everything works ok I would be happy to sell them to you! the passenger headlight is in nearly perfect condition because it was replaced around 2010 after hitting a deer. The drivers side is the clouded one. Both still work fine with no cracks or broken pieces. How does $70+ shipping sound?

Yes i have its not too hard just is something you need to take your time to do just bake them thats what i did because the ones i bought on ebay well they cheap lol and would look like a fish bowl after i washed it and also i had problems with the top clear coat that would come off i recently got these for my brother

Those are the exact ones I just ordered! I plan on putting an extra bead of sealant on them as well! hopefully I have the same amount of luck.

 

Do it yourself! Not hard at all, for the old lens, 1500 grit sand paper wet sand it then gloss clear coat. Like new headlights,
