I just got word these guys are wanting to make sure our plan WORKS. They want this clown gone as bad as we do. This is to make certain we are ALL on the same page before we make the next move. I know a couple of these guys really well. When they tell me something, I can take it to the bank.

If he keeps an umbrella in his office fill it with the cutouts from the hole puncher. We did that to a guy once and it looked like he was in a blizzard when he opened it!

The VA I'm going to has some of the top Civilian Doctors and Military Doctors here on the West Coast . The Surgeon who performed the injection yesterday is a well known prominent Neurosurgeon and I trust him

They follow a certain treatment protocol and right now the injections are helping just painful to have done . He was talking to me about a surgical procedure that is called Neuro stimulation dorsal root ganglion

They plant a stimulation device into the spine near the ganglion that intervates the affected nerve . They also place a control device inside of me that once implanted I then can control my pain

There was also talk about the damaged MCL ligament and it not getting good blood to it . They want to try PRP therapy or platelet rich plasma therapy . This is where they remove a vial of blood from me and then place in a centrifuge to produce the platelet rich plasma . They then re inject This plasma back into my knee in the MCL ligament . This renergizes the MCL and allows it to repair itself

The PRP treatment is what athletes have done to heal faster from an injury

I have degenerative arthritis in my left foot and ankle, it was from a football injury back in High School they think. Started about 4 years ago and has gotten worse and will continue to. Sometimes just walking 100 yards is enough to make my eyes start to tear up. I work at Mayo Clinic and while they are ranked #1 hospital in the US not everyone is perfect. First specialist doc I had seen said basically there is nothing they can do except put me in a brace if I want but the joint will go downhill from there. I refused that as an answer and did some reasearch on it. Turns out cortisone shots sometimes helps at least for awhile. And Mayo Clinic was the one to discover that in 1958 for goodness sakes. Long story but I finally got in and was seen by Mayo Sports Medicine. Took me 2 years, I told them I couldn't run the dogs or hunt and the screening process said hunting wasn't a sport. Finally wised up and said I couldn't walk to play golf and got in LOL. They work with everyone from pro athletes to special forces in the armed services.

They will only give me 3 shots a year as it can cause degenerative damage if you get them too often. They last me about 6-8 weeks so now I get one right before hunting season and can at least walk again. They guide the needle into the joint with ultrasound guidance. Hurts like hell but it is worth it everytime I get it done. They talked to me about PRP treatment and feel there is a good chance it would work. But my insurance with Mayo doesn't cover it and would have to pay tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket to get it done. And I have some of the best health insurance out there. If your being offered PRP and they will pay for it would certainly give it a try! Hope they find a solution and that you heal up soon, being in pain sucks. Best of luck to you.
