Got a response back from my local dealer that the TRD Pro Grilles are in limited production right now and only available as a service replacement part for the TRD PRO Tacoma. I gave a VIN, but it didn't help. They will be available as an accessory add on when production picks up, but Toyota provided no ETA.

As fas as the skid plate, my dealership also had it listed online at $400. I got a gift certificate for accessories when I bought my 2016, but it looks like you can purchase cheaper elsewhere online:
    http://www.partznet.com/oe-toyota/ptr6035160
HUMP10 10% off code still works as well at this moment = $336.37

Do we have confirmation said part number (PTR60-35160) is indeed the skid plate off the 2017 TRD Pro?

I just got back from the dealership and I picked up the skid plate (PTR60-35160). $435 out the door. From just peeking in the box, I'm pretty sure it's the skid plate off the TRD Pro. I could see the oil change door and the TRD logo stamped on it. I haven't completely opened the box as I am at work right now. But I will take some pictures of the skid plate when I get home and post it on here. Just from peeking in, skid plate looks pretty sick!!

Only benefit of the TRD Pro would be the filter door I suppose.

I'd agree with that. But then again, the RCI has an oil filter door and can be had for $305 + shipping.

There are definitely options out there

    100%
Frame has not changed since 2005 so this will fit on all tacomas 2005 to current

    EDIT:
It could be the oil door/latch thing will be useless for gen2 owners but the plate itself will still fit

That is more in line with the aftermarket aluminum front skid plates that are available.

Doesn't matter what engine as long as six lug. This mounts on your frame not your engine

I'll be able to get you guys prices once stuff really comes out. The grill will be hard as it is just for damaged replacements right now. Plus in the beginning everybody will be charging so many different prices. My guy might wait until it calms down some.

And then you sacrifice strength if you hit something on the oil filter door.
