Raptor 4" oval rails, OEM door sill protectors, totally debadged, OEM mud guards, OEM bed mat, OEM S/S tail pipe extension, BDT tailgate letters, Weather Tech sun screen.
All the issues I described in Post #73 put my truck "non-operational" for a total time of less than 3 hours with the exception of having to leaving it overnight one time for the fluid check. It now has just over 8K on the clock. At an average (hwy/city) speed of 50 mph that means it has been on the road for at least 160 hours (probably more since it's in-town more than not). So that means, in my case, it has been "non-operational" for 1.8 percent of the time I have owned it. I guess mid-south Chevy or Ford trucks are never in the shop.

Correctomundo!!! Not all techs and indys are equal or capable. Fortunately I have a VERY capable tech who corrected all my issues listed in Post #73 and a very capable indy who does my oil changes every 5K. I would never let a dealership change my oil or rotate my tires so they can shove that "free shit" you supposedly get. Why? First, they usually put the "low grade" guy on the oil changes and rotations and second, they won't let you watch or stand by your vehicle while it is being serviced. The indy lets me do both but then again, I'm anal as hell about my truck.

Smitty, when I try to talk with you about your problems with your truck after a couple of what I call valid points to discuss with you then I no longer get responses back from you. I then find you talking in other post trashing your truck.

What do you want to talk about? I told you I agreed with your point in context.

Most dealerships won't disassemble and reassemble a differential. They either replace the whole thing or send it out to be overhauled. I'm assuming that all of the differentials being "fixed" at the dealerships under warranty are swaps with the old ones being sent back to Toyota for diagnosis and then to be overhauled and put back on the shelf for a future warranty replacement. It's not really a tech issue in that case unfortunately. The howling is real and getting real old quick.

I fucking love this site just for the sheer entertainment value (i.e. Gen 3 threads). I'd cut off my Direct TV billing but NFL ticket is sheer addiction.

You could be correct. I definitely dont know the answer. All I am saying if my diff isn't given me problems then there is no reason for yours not being fixed and if you are having troubles after it is fixed then somebody the mechanic or their shop might be at fault and I would check someone else for repairs.

My case is above the dealer. I am waiting for a visit from regional tech specialist now.

Might work for you but when I first got my truck and had my issues that are now corrected I had 3 scheduled appointments with a regional tech and never saw one the first time. The dealer would say they either forgot to call me or they talked to him about my issues that i wanted to talk to him about.
