So, occasionally when I get in my truck to leave work, when I start it it doesn't immediately go into high idle, it just kinda gradually idles up from like 100-200 rpm up to normal idle. It's a 2015 V6 with 70k. Did plugs a few weeks ago and I'm not due for an oil change yet.

This doesn't happen every time, just randomly. No codes.

Just curious if this is something that's gonna lead to something else or if it's something I dont even need to worry about.

Dunno if this makes a difference, but it's been around 110 outside when I go to leave. Stupid Texas heat.

They can have a hard start on occasion. Mine will do this sometimes. Sometimes it will take a few extra seconds to fire up. Both 2nd gens Ive had/have did this.

haha yeah I'm actually gonna be at 71k in a few miles.

65 miles one way to work and a few out of state trips. Ill probably be closer to 80 or 90k by the end of the year with a few road trips between now and then.

My 2TR-FE also does this in hot weather. It starts right away but the engine speed ramps up slowly to normal. Where in colder weather it immediately jumps up.

I don't think it is anything to worry about.
