So it's not a trd? Cause if it was then it'd have a rear locker which then I could say constitutes 12.

But it has super low miles and it's an 04 - therefore you have to personally decide if it's worth it to you given these trucks go pretty quick, chances are someone else is either looking at it as well or will.

Still a bit confused, so it is a trd off road?

The conversion can be easily done if you look for the parts I got some links for you that can help if you're interested. Everything is meant to bolt right up.

Perfect. So then it does have a rear locker, if you ever check the truck out just be sure to check to the left of the steering wheel to confirm it has a "RR DIFF LOCK" button.

Remember you can either go the manual route or the ADD route - you can choose between either the "j shift" transfer case or the newer style selector shifter. CV axles from manual hubs do not work with ADD and vice versa.

Here's a pretty recent thread that is pic heavy
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/frenchtacos-2003-4wd-conversion.442734/

Here's another that might have a little more info And you can always be on the look out for parts here
    http://car-part.com/mobile/index.htm

And here's a parts list, with prices that will vary*

Granted when I got mine a year ago it had 170k on it I paid just over 13 minus my trade for an 05 dclb 4x4 sr5 unmodded with power windows/locks and OEM fogs. It took me a very long time to find one at a good price though. Runs like a champ. Only thing I've had to do is routine maintenance

So why did you just start a whole new post about the same thing, but instead a Tundra

different vehicle option, curious to see if its possible to change 2wd to 4wd on tundra as well...and would it be worth the effort at the price? or just go but a newer 4x4
