Got a c pillar tube in, and got my dash to pretty much fit again

That's what people keep tellin me lol, 6 days worth so far, sucks I got to go back to work tommorow, so she will have to wait two weeks till I get back to er

 

Far as I'm gunna get for about two weeks, back to my day job

When my brother had his 73 Challenger caged it took months. Youve made hella progress and it looks amazing.

 

Did he do it himself? Granted I get two weeks off at a time, like literally all I've been doin the past week all day is this lol

And it's not the best by any means, There's some not pretty spots lol, and since I'm not putting the headliner our back seats in that makes it a lot easier for me haha, but it's my truck

 

No, this was a full tube chassis car that needed to protect him from the dangers of 1/4 mile racing. Al though he is a heavy line mechanic, welder, fireman and EMT, he sent the chassis to be done by real drag car builders.

 

"But it's my truck" is the story of everything I build for myself lol. I've had a few friends tell me that it's not perfect but it's functional on some of my stuff. I say it's good enough for me, but if I were charging someone, I'd spend easily twice as much time on stuff to try and make it pretty. Still great work on your truck. Heading to co and running alpine loop this week, and hopefully getting back to my projects/ maybe a few side projects for spare change when we get back.

 

Yea since it's my truck usually beer drinking is involved, and there's points that I'm like eh it'll be fine, but the cage thing I'm taking pretty serious like when I did my a arms, I want it correct and safe

 

Yea when stuff has to be perfect it takes time, I'm TIG welding this stuff so the joints need to fit pretty well, as long as it saves my life and whoever else is in it if I wreck that's all I care about

 

Same mentality. And with a few projects going at once the last few weeks. I finally finished my skids, taking my time running back and forth between them and other stuff. The last 75%of them I sat back and was like, holy hell, all my welds look good and pretty? I guess this is what happens when I take my time on stuff lol.

 

Ordered a Sweet steering wheel quick release and a Momo competition wheel today...

 

Just picked up a 06 trd off road access cab manual 6 spd.. looking to do the same thing. your truck is awesome man
