Also have the seat vibe. Did it with stock tires and still does it with ko2s. Not all the time but on certain interstates it always does. I have an sr model so no hood scoop. Almost seems like the back end is too stiff for the lack of weight back there. I find with lower tire pressure or a load in the back it's better.

A couple have commented about the xtra weight in the bed.

What are you running the KO2's at?

I just increased them to about 42psi for highway riding but they were at 36 and the vibration was alot better

I keep these at 40, maybe I'll goto 38 and see if that helps.

Has anyone ever yanked the prop-shafts and put them on a high speed balancer, or measured the driveline angles? Obviously in no way should this be a concern on a new or stock truck, but it is an idea to narrow down the cause.

What kind of tires do you have? I know Bridgestone is having issues now with their quality control and are having some excessive belt overlap issues. A colleague of mine is working on a detection system to catch the issue. The symptom of excessive belt overlap is similar to an imbalanced tire, except there is no resonant frequency (like at 60 mph), rather, it just gets worse as you pass 75-80 mph on up. The tough part of detecting this is the tire must be under load, so a balance machine will not detect it.

I've had different sets of tires on different sets of rims. Tacos are known
for this issue, I just wasn't expecting to still see it going on with the 2016's.

Interesting, I will have to check mine out at speeds. I had a road race Mustang that transferred a lot of vibrations through the driveline due to the suspension components resonating the driveshaft universal joints. a universal joint, that is not perfectly inline (like most applications), will oscillate due to constant changes of velocity in the u-joint spider legs. CV joints solve this, but come with a cost. It may be that the Tacoma resonates the U-Joint vibrations after a certain speed.
