Need 4 doors. But this looks pretty cool. Yes on the blind spot. I test drove it. I like the power but that windshield and no navi sucked.

The only FJ in production for 2017 is the FJ200 Landcruiser.

That's about right. I would rather have one of those over a new 'Vette though, at least you can drive it around in the woods. https://youtu.be/U4ZVYIj5tTc

I hear ya. That's a nice ride. Corvettes collect a lot of dust in CO.

That is no FJ. That is a grocery getter.

Didn't emissions requirements essentially kill the FJ Cruiser? I've seen that thrown around, due to wheelbase versus fuel economy and such.

After the novelty wore off, we just stopped buying them. For reference, in 2015 Toyota sold 97,034 4runners and 179,562 Tacomas. Why they still make the Landcruiser is beyond me, as they only sell 2,687 a year in the U.S.

    Calendar year
    US Canada
    2006 56,225[53] 4,919[56]
    2007 55,170[57] 4,901[56]
    2008 28,688[58] 2,630[56]
    2009 11,941[58] 899[56]
    2010 14,959[54] 797[56]
    2011 13,541[59] 639[56]
    2012 13,656[60] 726[61]
    2013 13,131[62] 656[63]

Wudevah. You don't see any 40's in Dakar.

IF they brought back a real FJ40 I would buy it in a heartbeat. There is still a demand for FJ40's.

I also remember hearing Toyota planned to produce only one generation when they came out in 2006 so 8-9 years is a pretty good run.

Not sure if production capacity has anything to do with it but with the yen weak like it is, they make more money on made in Japan vehicles sold around the world. Maybe free up room to build more GX's and Prado's and 70 Series Land Cruisers that can be sold around the world instead of a relatively niche product sold in the US and a few other countries like Canada and Australia (I think).

Agreed...although I'm sure the new ones were capable, I always thought they looked like they were made out of legos.
