Lmao. I'll post pictures when I get the stock air box off. It can be fixed easily with some auto grade epoxy

Yea I heard a tacoma 3.4 with a super 44 and it sounds a lot better. To me the thrush sounds like a dirt bike at higher revs

Air intake is the biggest waste of money. They do nothing. Just get afe filter and do the deckplate mod.

If you press the Band button, it will return you to the main screen of whatever source you are listening to. So if you get lost in the FM settings, press Band and you can start over. On the topic of Bluetooth, for some reason my phone won't auto-connect to phone AND audio. It'll auto-connect to the phone function every time, but if I want to play iHeart or YouTube over the Bluetooth, I have to manually pair that function.
Not sure what the well liner would do to prevent rain water? I've had a hose taped to the roof for 3 days so far testing.

Any of my 1st Gen people have some good insight on reinstalling CVs into a new diff?

When I pulled the old diff, I left them connected to the spindle side and just pulled the LBJ bolts to swing the spindle and CV away from the diff. Now I'm having a helluva time getting them back in the new diff. I'm also wondering if I need to replace the c-clips before I do.

    Any ideas? Thanks, y'all!

I replaced my c clips on the shaft after the top one didn't hold and popped off the tulip but it was my fault for turning hard left at like 15 mph on a trail but when you reinstall into the diff make sure the opening of the top c clip is either faced straight up or straight down, can't remember, when it goes into the diff and give it a very hard whack with a mallet and I mean with muscle lol.

Edit: Pretty sure opening of the c clip straight up.

Thanks, man! I think I'm just going to disconnect the CVs from the spindles and make it easier on myself. I was just being lazy!

That would be easiest...is bolt up the lbj first and then disconnect because the cv nut is a bitch to get off. You need at least a 2 foot cheater and something to lock the hub like a big stake from the ground and then in between the lugs

Changed the tranny, tcase and rear diff fluids. Rear only took 2.5 qts or so which was different from the fsm which calls for 3.18 qts. 2002 3.4l 4x4 extended cab trd w/ locker. I pumped until it slowly dribble out, then pumped a little more and the overflow increased. Had only put about 2 in there so I let it sit and drain into the axles while I did the tranny and tcase. Was able to get a little more in there when I came back to it, but not a total of 3.18 qts.

If only I could get that far... I'm having a bitch of a time getting the damned dust cover off the hub. Hit it with some PB Blaster, and all I've gotten so far is two busted screwdrivers. Feeling pretty lame right about now, since I've got the new diff in just fine. Any ideas, guys? Maybe it's time to hit the hardware store for a really sharp chisel..? As always, thanks!

Both mine came off with a flat head screwdriver and hammer easily.
