    Manufacturing. I work in a paper plant with new machines. We work on anything related to the control of the machine. A lot of automation and control networks. I'm a controls tech on shifts now, but deal more with just trouble calls.

    I have a long weekend between day shift and night shift. Get off at 7pm Thursday and don't have to be back til 6:30 pm Monday. It's great going to bed on Sunday night knowing you don't have to go in Monday morning.

    My hardest time is on night shift. Not the shift so much as working two off two back and forth with the sleep schedule.

    Crazy thing is I remember working in the cloth mills in Greenville... This was nearly 30 years ago.. Doubles, triples, it was all just money. There is absolutely no way I could do anything like that now.
