Is anyone else's foam curling up after redeploying from the clipped position on the first knuckle? That first joint that bends into the second panel. I'm thinking maybe my front clips are too tight maybe??

Mine did the same thing a little after I bought it. You are correct; I loosened the front clips a little and it settled back to normal.

I have had mine for 5 years. 2 little problems. During the winter the cover froze to truck, had to replace weather stripping on bottom section. after three years, paint started to peel off of sides of Aluminum cover.this was from using the car wash? other wise I think it really is a good product if you do not abuse it like I did.

No, what I was looking was flat up against the window, it blocks your view but is all but completely out of the way.

Good video. I do like the side stripping better. Interested to see how it holds up. Still looks like the install will need the same as the first edition. Water will get in through a hole and the clamps look like they will need washers. Good luck.

It seems to be about how you install. Only takes minutes, but using the pics in the original post will help. Went to 10 washers on both sides. Almost three years and still dry underneath the cover even through the car wash. Good luck.

After all the time I have waisted calling extang customer service and be told to just find the sweet spot cause I have the right size tonneau. I know that I have to find a way to extend it a little cause it is a bit short by 1/2 inch to get a good seal and I like the tonneau other than it being short.Jeff at extant just told me that the extang 2.0 solid fold I had was the right size and to find (the sweet spot) still can't get over the sweet spot thing, lol.
I went to tap plastic and have them cut me a piece that is 3/4" thick 2 1/2" wide and length is the width of the bed, bolted it on the rail by the cab side and use some silicone to seal little gaps, now I have an extang 2.0 solid fold that fits my truck like a glove. hope this helps and will try to post some picture

I just picked one of these up on Craigslist for a hundred bucks. It's in awesome shape. I had a question for you guys that have had them for a while. Do you ever put any weight on them? The guy that sold it to me was a plumber, and he said he got up on it all the time. The reason I'm asking, is because that would be awesome to put my tent up there when I go camping, if it will support me.

I would not use it to hold a tent with people in it. No way. It dents somewhat easily in my experience. You can sit/stand on it gently if need be, but that's about it.

Hey guys, I'm about to pull the trigger on this but wanted to verify that it will work with my setup. Here's a pic of my bar at the front...do you know if it will interfere with the front clamp spots? If anyone feels like it, can you measure from the cab back to the clamp spot so I can make sure it will work? Thanks so much!!!
