Haven't nailed down precisely in what I'm going to mount the Zeon -leaning towards the C4 Fabworks winch bumper- in any case the control unit must be remotely mounted and Warn in their infinite wisdom provides a kit to do so. Question is, where would one mount it and has anyone already done it? This winch comes with a remote control so you don't need access to any clutch because there isn't one or the control itself, it's completely controlled remotely which adds some flexibility when it comes to mounting the control unit. Any input and advice would be helpful and appreciated.

Well hell, I might end up the first -at least here- that does this. The hybrid winch bumpers look much better than anything I've seen yet. I'll let you know how and where it goes once I get there.

You could always contact c4 and ask them.
There is a ton of room behind the grill so you shouldn't have an issue mouting it back there, you may have to fab up a different bracket and while you will not have to acsess the plug you will want to leave it accessible if the wireless batteries die or it malfunctions. Good luck.

Awesome winch, I have the same one in my 4runner. The remote clutch control kicks ass, and Warn's relocate kit for the control pack is nice. Takes a bit of time to do it all, but the end outcome is second to none IMO

I did speak with C4, they haven't installed a Zeon in their lo-pro bumper yet. I'd rather not clutter-up that room behind the grill if at all possible, that room allows much needed air to the coolers.

There is plenty of room and air flow were the control box would not cause an issue. I would say if it's the route you want to go get it and fit it where you want. It may fit inside the bumper but if not there are plenty of options for mounting remotely. If I remember right they offer a long and short relocation kit.
