    Hey TW
Earlier this summer I received a letter from Toyota saying that there was a recall on my leaf springs and that they needed to replace my leaf springs with a new pack. Currently I am rocking my stock leaf springs with a toytec add a leaf. I have been incredibly happy with this set up for the fact that it raised my truck up 3in in the back and it has ever since been sitting at the perfect height to match my front lift. Also it seems to help with my towing capabilities. I went into the dealership to ask if they can put in the new leafs and then just add in my add a leaf at the same time. They will not. So now I find myself facing a few options.
    1. Keep the setup I currently have which has been working great for me.

    2. Get the new leafs put in and then drive it home with massive bro lean to then put in the add a leaf myself. I am worried that the height of the back end will change with this setup since it is a new leaf pack and includes one more leaf then what came stock. I don’t want the height to change at all.

    3. Buy a full leaf pack from one of the many awesome companies I see on here. My buddy bought an OME complete leaf pack from Toytec and he loves it. Just again concerned about the height.

I do enjoy off-roading and getting the truck to do some flexing. I also tow on occasion, anything from decent size fish houses to just an ATV. Finally the height I am at now with my current setup is perfect.
Any opinions or experiences? What would or have you guys done?
    Thanks again TACO WORLD!.

Also here are some picture I took of the new leaf pack that Toyota wants to put in.

no answers for you but im in the same boat. just got the recall done yesterday and now have my add-a-leafs sitting on garage floor. (think I got them from toytech but that was 5+ yrs ago). dealership wouldn't put them back on either. I took off my Timbrens before taking it in cuz the guy behind the counter was leary of them being on. My add-a-leafs have a brackets riveted on and it looks like there would be interference with the bracket on the new 4-leaf pack that Toyota installed. (both brackets look to be about 10 inches from center). I was going to reinstall the aal at home after I bought some new leaf spring center pins but I don't really haul anything heavy anymore so may just go with some blocks in the back to get my height back. it feels like im driving uphill now for sure. good luck and I will be watching to see what others have to say. keith

Thanks for the reply Keith. Looks like we are both in a similar situation. Not sure what my next move will be. Hopefully someone on here has some advice or experience they can share.

hey gus, the more I think about it I guess that I will just grind the rivet head off to get rid of the bracket and rivet on the new springs that will interfere. Looks like some others have done that and posted here on tacomaworld. Search "Wheelers 3 leaf aal issue with install". Hope this works out ok

hey gus, don't know if you saw my other post on another thread but I put add a leaf back on. couldn't put timerens back on, not enough height. towed camper and it really sags with this setup. I will probably just get a new leaf pack to get back to the height I want to be at. kinda wish I had not done the recall now.
