I've read here of one using it for a crock pot when on the road a few hours to a campsite. Nice to have your first meal all ready and hot for you after setup.

For anyone who has something in the 120v range, an easy way too see if your truck will run it is divide watts by volts. So 400 watts at max too 120 volts is 3.3ish amps. Just an easy way too check and see if it will work.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
Do the same when we go to the cabin up north. Keep the crockpot in an old milk crate to keep it from sliding around.

Do many other people use it for a compressor? Debating something like you posted, sig45, or just the standard connect to battery terminal type compressor. Anyone have opinions on what is better?

Power went out at work and I used it to run a printer and the router/modem. When I wasn't running the printer I would charge my laptop.

Used it for tv & internet after a storm also.

would those easily drain your battery with just accessory on? do you gotta run the engine? I assumed this, but surprised to see some of the stuff people use with it so I assume they are running their engines if its for a decent length of time.

I use it to blow up my air mattress, which has a built in AC compressor.

From what I've read here - I've not seen a lot that use the outlet. Most seem to connect to the battery. I don't expect to use it a lot as I don't air down/up a lot like some. Mine's for emergency flat repair and since it's stashed in a tote in my bed I figured I'd save the step of popping open the hood and just use the outlet.

You don't run the engine with the portable power supply. It has 1200 watts and can run a long time on a full charge. Just make sure you charge it at home a day before.
Hook the 425 power inverter to your battery, run the engine and use an extension cord. Make sure to keep all wires well away from any moving engine components.
And remember the inverter is only 425 watts so that's my backup. I use the portable 1200 watt power supply. it even has a light and a small air compressor.

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

I use this one, it fits nicely in the compartment under the rear seat: https://www.amazon.com/Goodyear-i80...=1471265146&sr=8-3&keywords=120v+air+inflator
IMO it is just more convenient to plug it right into the bed outlet rather than opening the hood and worrying about those clips popping off the battery terminal. It also seems to work much faster than the cheapo 12v compressors I've used in the past.

The A/C power outlets on that jump starter and inverter are also only 400 Watts.... What am I missing here?
