I want to add a backup camera before I back into another low wall guard post that I can not see in my mirror. What have you guys put in your trucks? I kind of like the idea of having the picture in my mirror, but not a real requirement.

Price is sort of critical, but want a good unit.

have you searched the forums with the search option? there are all kinds of threads out there. lots of people get the one that goes into your tailgate handle and then hooks up to the HU= Head unit. Search the site you will find some stuff

Im interested in buying one as well, and I have done pretty extensive searching but have not really found anything useful. Im looking to get a backup camera that does not plug into a head unit and wondering what people have installed and would love to see some pictures. Im also not looking to spend too much. Would prefer to spend less than 100 and not have to make any crazy modifications to my gate, or anything.

I am using the Boyo VTL375 license plate camera with my stock non JBL radio in my 2007 Tacoma. It took me a week to figure out the connections to my autodim Gentex GENK352 TOY mirror I got on Ebay. I ran the wires under my truck frame following the stock harnesses. Came up under my seat and them up the door A frame into the head liner.
I had to figure out the wiring and finally got it working today. The Boyo camera plug at the connection end in my headliner had a red and black wire and a male RCA plug. There is a guy on Ebay that sells the Female connection end and it was a piece of cake after that. PM me if you want more info.

I to have the Boyo BTL375. I have it hooked up to my Kenwood DNX6960.
The camera works great, even in the dark and it is hardly noticeable.

    Shawn.
