@RAT PRODUCTS did you have an E brake ? I noticed a cut line that connects to the rear axle . I'm just wondering because if you didn't I'm thinking maybe a rear disc brake setup .

Yes I did. Maybe I cut it when I removed the axle though? I don't recall that.

I wouldn't doubt it some stuff was rediculous to get off I've gone through a few cutting wheels myself . By the end of the weekend I plan to have the exhaust cut off and axle and gas tank moved to the new frame . Kinda gotta get stuff done before winter lol

I know where a decent frame is. Going for about $250. If I had more space and the truck was closer I would consider picking it up.

Got my gas tank off axle off and cut the passage side of the frame off up to the cab . The hole behind the tank was gnarly

Born and raised in Iowa (all different parts of the state, but mostly West Des Moines area up until I left) but moved to CA about 6 years ago. I come back every so often to see family and friends and I just went back out last week to see the usual people. Funny when I come from CA, where everyone drives foreign cars and there is a Toyota parked at every street light, to Iowa where most people drive domestic like Chevy and Ford. I actually forgot what a Toyota looked like by the last day of my trip. lol Love Iowa though, and might move back one day. Glad to see a little community on here with some Iowa folks!

    Huh?

You should of repaired your frame since it will be so accessible with nothing attached. I have noticed a few extended cab Tacos with bad frames and good bodies popping up on Craigslist lately for cheap. You could do another swap since you are a pro now!

I'm out east of Sacramento, right before the Sierra mountains. Good area for shooting/camping/snowboarding. Palmdale is cool, been through there a couple of times. San Diego is the place I would be if I made more money to afford living there. Lol

Funny. I was raised in CA (Sacramento) and just moved to IA.

After growing up in CA, I will say, it's definitely different out here. lol

San Diego would definitely be one of the top three places to live (Petco park is my avatar.).

Anybody know of a good shop in Des Moines that can do a cab mount chop?
