I just had a mechanic replace my clutch and flywheel. Now, when I go to start it there is a rapid clicking sound and it won't start.
At first, nothing on my front dash would come on so I checked my fuses and sure enough one of my fuses had blown so we replaced it.
Then we tried to start it again with the new fuse and it just rapidly kept clicking.
So we push started it and the truck fired right up.

I feel like when the flywheel was replaced the torque on the flywheel was mounted too tight to allow the starter pinion to actually turn the flywheel. Thus a clicking noise.
Still waiting on the mechanic to get back to me but what do you all think?

Sounds like dead/bad battery or corroded bat posts/connections. Clean the posts & then jump start it.

simple test.....jumper it with cables to another battery, if she starts up it is either the battery itself, or as johnny3 mentioned, bad connection at the battery...the flywheel is okay, the bolts hold it in the right position...

These guys are all correct, OP. Doesn't have to do with your flywheel. Bad battery, bad connection, or bad ground.

It would not be the first time a vehicle with a newer batter comes home with the same brand and model battery but this one is pretty much junk

Shop is closed today. I hope to get some good news tomorrow. Wyoming09 we push started it then drove it back to the auto shop. Otherwise, they wanted to charge me a $50 towing fee to get it back to the shop and it turned out to be a separate issue other than what they worked on...so we push started it and B-Lined back to the shop.

I have a hunch they are going to try and charge me for ANOTHER diagnostic fee since I had to take it back because of this new problem.
    We'll see tomorrow.

If you jump started it with another battery, but it clicks with only original battery only it is as several have mentioned, battery is weak or the contacts are faulty...this is a simple problem to diagnose, pull into any auto parts store and have them do a test (it is free), they will tell you pronto what the problem is...why pay someone more $$$...

Hope you get it sorted out post haste....

Sorry, I meant push started the truck NOT jump started.

Ok, have you tried to jump start your truck? Or just push to start? Have you tested the battery, cleaned all the connections? Do you even have a set of jumper cables?

We tried to jump start it, checked the battery, cleaned the post, and then finally got it started when we push started it.
bldegle2 Yes, I have a set of jumper cables.

Now the mechanics wants to run a "Pinpoint Voltage Test" for $150. They say that it is a wiring issue in the ignition system. Which doesn't make any sense since it fired up every time till now. What does the ignition system have to do with the clutch or flywheel??? What have these guys done to my truck and what can I do about it!???!

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Stand your ground. Tell them it was running fine when you dropped it off. They would have had to remove the starter. Chances are they didn't tighten something up when they installed the starter.

Take your cables off the bad battery then hook the jumper cables to your cables & the jumper battery.

I am assuming the starter has to be removed to change out the flywheel, that would be a place to start with the repair shop...there are wires that may not have been attached correctly, they are part of the starting/charging systems...probably fubared or didn't connect tightly some of the wiring during the clutch/flywheel redo...
