    did a 35 mile each way drive today. going was in ECT mode all the way, dash gauge said 25MPG. on the return was in D all the way registered 28MPG. if anyone cares....

    That is very interesting... What do you get on a normal drive in the same area without ECT on?

    Were you using cruise control? How fast were you getting up to speed at the start of the drive?
    Just trying to be objective as to how you got that mpg.

    You need to accompany this data with a Strava elevation map to see what the El change is in both directions. I have found that to be th major driver.

    Do it with a whole tank, not just a two way drive. Hills, elevation, temperature, everything gets taken into account. MPGs are worthless anyways if you have a truck. You would have bought a Prius if you cared about fuel economy.

    no cruse no air same road both ways mostly flat with a few inclines and declines. normal driving max speed here is 55 about 15% was thru town the rest straight driving no stopping.
    this is the first time i ever paid any attention to the MPG. usually drive 5 miles or less one way at various times on my daily routine. small island, had to make a costco run today so thought i would check.

    mpg, whats that? I'd trade my 3.5L for a nice 4L supercharged version.
