    The blue craftsman is my first box ever that is now used for the small stuff but he red one is my new baby and is awesome. Gotta thank my wife for letting me get it.

    Not enough...
    Scored this bad boy off Craig's List for $300 today. 40" 14 drawer Craftsman. Well used, has some dents and scratches, some small rust spots under the paint here and there, but everything works, came with 2 keys and liners in every drawer. I got some extended height legs coming from ULINE tomorrow, which will raise my bench, so the tool box will live under the bench and will actually make the workbench more usable height and stop hurting my back.

    Emailed Craftsman just now to figure out when and where this thing was made. Unlike the shit they have sitting at Sears right now, this tool box weighs a ton and super solid. Hoping it is US made.

    Got this tool box from my parents as a gift for the house we bought me and my gf. It is a Kirkland, sold by Costco. It was the best ratio $/quality and size too. I love it but I still have empty drawer to fill lol

    That's what I'm rocking. Honestly I haven't been around many tool boxes so I don't really know how it compares. Everything works though and I haven't had any problems. I think the 44 is probably the best for the money there. I want the top box for it but they never put them on sale.

    Stopped by HF tonight, they had just sold their last 44. They had a 26 or 28 top and bottom on sale for mid 300s also, but something told me to wait for the 44 bottom.

    It's definitely a good deal, especially for the money. I've had the 44" Harbor Freight for 2 or 3 years now. Once I get my garage redone, I'll be buying a second one. Plans is to put them side by side and place worktop on them. Kind of tie the two together.

    Today I picked up the 44 bottom and top. Got them assembled in garage. $625 or so for both. Super cool, glad I dropped the (proverbial) hammer.

    I had to sell my HF 44 bottom and top box when I left NYC for CO. I now have a husky 4- bottom box and previously had a craftsman professional top and bottom. I can say without a doubt, the HF by by far the best box of them all. The drawers held more weight and even with more weight, functioned better that the two other boxes with less weight in the drawers. Plus, I like their drawer setup much better than the husky box. The husky was just about the same price but I should have just driven the couple hours to HF and bought another of their boxes. I'm still considering buying the HF box and trying to sell the husky box on CL.

    Nice, thanks for the info. I hemmed and hawed about buying the top box for the 44, but glad I did. IF I want a lower roller cabinet with a top work surface, I'll just buy another 44 lower. I have more than enough crap to fill all 3 (I think).

    Along these lines... what are yall's ways of organizing / storing fasteners? I have a metric shit ton of nails, bolts, screws, yadda yadda yadda that are in various boxes and buckets. It sucks. If I had one container for every possible fastener size / type I have, I swear I'd have at least 10,000 containers.

    I have a couple of these. (similar, not exactly this one)

    Then also a stack of the boxes that the fasteners come in. Full or partially full screws/nails stay in the boxes, a few leftovers get filed in the container. I try to keep it somewhat organized, but it doesn't always work.

    Hmm... I've had a few of those over the years, they break pretty easily on me but definitely better than what I'm currently doing. Maybe there are heavy duty versions of these? I need to look that up.
