    Hello,

I am new to the forums so be patient with me. I have been saving up ro get a 3" lift and new wheels/tires for my 2013 taco. Can anyone recommend a good lift kit and an auto shop that will help install it? I live in the SGV area in So Cal.

    Thanks everyone!

    Welcome to TW!

What are your build goals? In general I would recommend against a 3" lift for the average user that is a daily driver, and go with a 2" kit and 32s to steer clear of many issues associated with needing expensive aftermarket UCAs, then having to cut off your cab mounts, weld new box ends and do lots of 'custom' trimming of your truck. Also 32s, especially in C load, will reduce power loss and provide better mpgs than power robbing heavy E-load 33s. But it really depends on build goals and budget.

My ultimate goal is to have a 3" lift ssh that I have space when installing beefier tires (i do like the nitto trail grappplers..Lol). I was reading a few threads and watching a few videos that instead of a lift to install bilstein 5100s in the front and 6112 in the back. And then others say that I need either a spacer OR a leaf spring also installed to level out the back. I'm trying to learn what is needed and not needed for the truck after 5, 10, 15 years.

Budget is important but if I can invest more to last me longer, I dont mind.
