Nah. I read between the lines on his typo to mean he didn't actually depress both pedals simultaneously but that the dash was claiming he did. Not everything has to be a smart-assed remark, although I do try often.

So is it a bad batch of sensors out there or where it's located on the engine? Anyone know of someone who's had a repeat if the CPS has been replaced?

To the OP, were you just driving when you got the warnings and did it stall or just rev without going anywhere in gear? Is this an automatic or a manual transmission truck? Was there any erratic idling before, how long were you driving and was it around town, highway or just local roads when it died on you?

You're going to have to write up the scenario in detail for us to understand what happened so imagine none of us were there with you at the time and we can't read your mind or look at your truck...

WTF? Does this only activate above a certain speed? There are many situations where I press the brake and the gas at the same time, for example for extra control when driving up onto ramps.

Does anyone know if it's only happening to AT or both AT and MT trucks? I assume the CPS is located in the same place on both?

Your gas tank is full. Did you fill up at a different gas station by chance?

I backed out of my driveway on this past Sunday, dry pavement, backed out slowly like always, and my ABS went off for about 3-4 seconds while I just sat there waiting to drive forward, something new and strange for me almost every week and of course never anything easy to duplicate

So did it stall yes or no and not to be an asshole but were you wearing big wide boots or do you have big feet and is there a possibility you could have accidentally hit both the brake and accelerator while backing out?

Did you use a new type of Toilet paper? Perhaps that cheap Costco Kirkland 2-ply brand instead of the 4-ply Quilted Northern? Don't tell me you went with the Single Ply Valu-Time Kroger brand?

Well here's an idea, hit both brake and accelerator at the same time while backing out at 5 mph out just to see what happens and if the same thing, it's been replicated.

Again, not trying to be an asshole but at least we would know what happens when you do that intentionally. Sort of like the guy racing around in his truck trying to get it to go into S5 all day yesterday.... at least we know it doesn't go into S5 from D at 80mph.

I never lost power but I had the error come up on the dash a couple of times when I first got the truck. I thought something was wrong the first time but the second time and each subsequent time (within first two months of ownership) I was definitely fat-footing both the brake and accelerator. I suppose I just needed to get used the pedal positions in this truck vs my old one, haven't had it occur again.

This guy pressed the brake pedal and it came back through the dash. All sorts of codes thrown.
