    Hey guys, I'm finally getting a chance to install my Total Chaos upper controls arms on my truck but I wanted to get some input if there was anything else I should replace for this project. I was planning on replacing the tie rods since they are looking pretty worn. The truck has 190K Should I replace the lower control arms as well? If so, what brand should I go with?
    I'm running Fabtech coilovers with 33's.

    I would check your lbj's as well. Oem for replacement is best imo for these types of parts.

    Thanks FirstGen Jer and will do. Do you know where would be the best place to order these parts besides the stealership? Also, on the lower control arms...Do I need to replace the whole arm or do I replace just the bushings?

    Try toyotaonlineparts.com. most just get new lca's I believe because changing the bushing is quite an ordeal.

    I'd definitely recommend lbj's if they've never been done on your truck. My truck has about 210k on the clock and I have tc heim/uniball uppers and icon coil overs and I recently put on new Oem lower control arms and it really tightened up the front end. Might as well do the tie rods as well and rack bushings if they haven't been done before. If you do it all at once you can pay for just one alignment and be done with it.

    FYI, replacing just the bushings on the lower control arms can be a royal pain. That's why I opted for new arms.

    If you have a couple Toyota dealerships in your area, you can typically negotiate on parts since they are in competition with each other.

    I get 20% off at the moment whenever i purchase from a particular dealership in my area.

    It doesn't look like they have been replaced on my truck before. Recently Ive noticed my front suspension a bit loose and I looking to replace everything that's needed all at once asap. I appreciate the the heads up on the lca bushings! I don't need to get into more trouble! lol

    @TacomaXJ

    Probably just ask for it... Just ask him if that's the best they can do because "Dealer ________ Offered it to me for $ ______".

    By the way, what side of town are you on? I'm on the North Central side just south of Tomball (Houston address) and Fred Haas Toyota has sold me 2 cars and I get my parts from them, and they are currently working on my 01 right now...

    Can't get it if you don't ask for it...
