Well the OEM harness going to the back of the factory headlight socket has 3 wires. TRS says on their site to tap the low beam wire. That's why I thought you were asking about the high beam. And now I'm curious to see if the halos will turn off when hi beams are engaged.

I'll try tomorrow before work and report back.

Ok Jimmy I checked. If I have the low beams on and turn on my hi beams, the halos stay off. But if I have no low beams on and flash my hi beams the halos stay on.

Thanks man! Answered my questions. I'm not concerned about no low beam and flashing high beam part. I try to avoid it since it reduces the bulbs life (iirc somewhere on hidplanet)

I will give this thread a rebirth in a selfish effort to get help....

If I want to have my halos on a cab switch with switchback function working, will I need relays and resistors?

I am admitting to know little about circuits. I am thoroughly blown away at the lack of install information or resources there are regarding halos.

Primarily I am taken back because I can't even get help from the company's and people I bought the product from.

Types of halos vary.... please provide the specifics of the ones you have.

if you are looking for a simple on/off control over those, then all you need to do is connect the ground wires together from each unit. you will then run a single wire from that connection all the way back to your switch. this wire will need to go on the input(source) pin of the switch. then you will need to run the load(output) to a ground point in the cab.

Do you have DRL function already from factory?

Guys, thanks a ton for helping with what are clearly amateur questions. Could u look at my sketch and tell me if I am setting it up correct?

The "X's" indicate where I plan to solder/splice wire to.

I am not sure how/where I will tap Amber yet. I know @gym_jamz ran individual wire from rear tails, but I'm not sure how to go about all that and what it would take.

The end result I am striving for is:
-Ability to manually turn halos on/off so I can prolong their life by not running them 24/7 and while low beamspeed are on.
    -Amber switchback function always working

How far off am I from this goal in my sketch?
