2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4 Magnetic Gray

Couple questions for anyone who knows more about this than I do. This is for a 2016 TRD OR, no JBL. iPhone 6.

I can not get my messages to work. I set everything up properly and for the first few text they show up and give me the option to have them read to me. After a while, they just give me the option to ignore and I would have to forget my phone and re-pair it for them to work again. It's not a huge deal but I just like things to work like they should.

Also, can the navigation not use addresses from my phone's address book? I can't even seem to get the address book to show up in the phone menu.
