A coworker and myself are waiting until it drops in price... For PC.

It hasn't been getting good reviews.. Which is disappointing after all the hype.. and how much time was invested. It might still be fun to waste some time with here and there tho.. Although.. It may get real old, real quick. From what I've been seeing and hearing. Same shit, reskinned.. Nothing new or exciting planet to planet.. And.. No multiplayer.

Who is our lighting expert here? I'm ordering bulbs for my retrofit and am stuck on the age old question of Xb35 in 4500k vs 5500k. From my research it sounds like the 4500 have less fatigue on your eyes when driving for long periods at night and also appear to illuminate more. Is there truth to this? I appreciate any input fellas.

Ahh yes I love Rek, Spent a week there in April of '14 during the first week of summer. the first day of summer is a national holiday there where all the kids are out of school and dress in full animal suits and run around the city. Shit was hilarious.

I never had the bone marrow but I really loved the vibe of the city, everything is so chill. Plus, they have a viking museum, full of viking things. Did you try any Hakarl?

Spore v2.0 or Elite Dangerous 2.0...or...well you get the idea...

4500k will be white, with yellow tint. 5500k will be white with blue tint.

I have been running Morimoto ballasts and 5k bulbs in my truck for 4 years now. This was after trying 6k (blue) and 4.3k (yelllow). The 5k is Pure white (when fully warmed up, Morimoto ballasts are starting to show some age and wear). Its really personal preference tho at that point. The 4.3k will cut through and not glare as much, but 5k illuminates signs like a boss  plus.. for me.. I just wanted pure white.. since everything else is LED.. the 5k matches the best and I just like the pure white of 5k vs the dingy look of 4.3k/yellow/halogen.

    Ha.. pretty much.

4500 kelvin is what the OEMs use for color temp. It is as close to natural daylight as possible. That's what I would go with.

Front light is 5500k "daylight" back light is 4500k "cool daylight", 4500 is definitely yellow tinted like natural light and 5500 is going to be a more pure white.

    hope that helps

Should've actually answered the question, I run the 4500's at home because of eye fatigue, If I ran 5500's or more after an hour I would start to get headaches, the squiggly lines and much much more, but I'm kind of photosensitive. Assume the same would apply to wheelin lights.

Thanks for the input guys. The eye fatigue is what worries me the most. I'm one of those sunglasses all the time guys. Very light sensitive eyes.

Edit: looking at TRS I can't find 5000k anywhere. Idea is for d2s 35w Morimoto - 4500k or 5500k are my options.

It's not multiplayer? What's the point of a huge sandbox environment of you are playing alone?

I open up my windows10 VM about once every 6 months. Damn thing takes 6 hours of updating before I can do anything with it.

I feel your pain. I have a 2012R2 server VM that I only have to boot up every so often. Each time there is at least 200+ updates to install.

Remember when Windows Vista came out and MS said "you'll never need to update frequently again and no more service packs!"

Then about a month or two later Service Pack 1 came out on top of the few hundred updates they had.

Same 5k is what I have as well. 5500 shouldn't be that much different.

idk.. they made it seem like there was... "you most likely will never encounter another player" yeah... because there are no other players.

maybe in a patch or something, who knows.
