In my younger days I'd go explore deep inside abandoned mines, but not any more. I did always love the dramatic change in temperature when going underground. That's the neatest thing.

The skottel is BADASS! I've been using it for some time now and in most cases I can replace my stove too. If you need to boil water the propane tank comes off the bottom and it has its own stove top so it makes it really easy (ill try and grab a photo). Ive also cooked rice and pasta on the skottel since its angled in and has a slight bowl effect. I highly recommend getting one! @Cohbsteq

I always thought it was neat how you'd go from 80 degrees outside, then rapidly drop to in the 50's, and then it'd start warming up again.

Here is the setup that sits under the skottel. It also comes with a base for the propane tank so its sturdier than just balancing the bottle.

Unrelated, but is the URL in your sig supposed to just take me to a page with a giant logo and nothing else?

thanks for the insight man, ive been drooling over them for the last few months, just cause of the cost aspect, so hopefully this group buy is beneficial!!
for you guys interested, if this turns into a real thing ill make a thread for it, and post it up on this thread aswell.

I'm going to build a shower the way @fishfinder did his. Connect a valve to a Jerry can so you can pressurize it with an air compressor and attach a hose with a shower head to it.

Gonna put it on my roof rack

Would anyone be interested in an onboard water setup that doesnt require pressurizing a container with limited water?

I designed a system for my rig that uses a 12v water pump from an rv or boat and has quick disconnects so you essentially have real time on demand pressurized water feom any source. Mine plugs into retrofitted Rotopax but the pick up line can feed off any source (jerry can, bucket, 5 gallon jug, or even free standing lake or stream water). It provides a 20ft coil hose and garden nozel with mutliple spray patterns. I use it for camp dishes, showering, cleaning off after the beach, washing hands, and everything else you can think of. The entire setup including pump, hose, sprayer and all tubing fits in the storage compartment in the bed of the truck and sets up instantly. No more bulky homemade pressurized PVC tanks or expensive Waterport type products. No need for a air compressor or worrying about losing pressure. Here is a quick pic with it all set up. I am currently testing differnt brand pumps to determine the best gallon per minute flow rate and PSI cutoff switch to use as well as what brand is the quietest and most power efficient. Going to build premade kits for self install that will be less than $200. Guaging interest to see if the overlanders like myself would purchase a kit like this?
