Anyone feel torque converter shutter?

Anyone ever find out what was causing the shudder? I am having the same issues post transmission TSB update. Mine happens in 4th and 5th gear during acceleration. Had a co-worker confirm he felt the same thing today. I have a TRD OR 4x4

 

Mine continues to piss me off too after reflash. No change in the shudder. I am convinced it is in the engine. In addition to the everyday shudder I once in a while get a real jerk like either the ignition or fuel shuts off for a split second. But it is definitely not because of being in too low a gear. It does it in the 1200 to 1400 rpm range. Not in the 1000 to 1200 range.

 

Dangit! I Was hoping the TSB would fix this. I'm about to turn 15000 and its still bad as ever. Good new is the service manager has got involved and agrees its not normal. He wants me to drop of the truck on a Monday for a week and have a Toyota guy check it out. I plan to do that at the 15000 mile service. I want to do the TSB first and see what happens though.

There are many fixes for this depending on mileage.
Ovtune
Engine tune up.
Scan for codes
Trans fluid replacement.
I suggest researching all of the above at Tacoma World before coming to conclusions

 

I had some when the truck was under a 1k miles as the truck downshifted to a stop. If you slipped the transmission in neutral and opt on the brakes it was no longer there. Gotta believe it was the converter. A few hundred miles later it began to totally vanish. Now at over 10k miles the transmission and engine are very smooth. No vibrations, no nothing. Imo, not every truck has been the same. A buddies 2019 trd has the same factory tune as my truck but behaves noticeably different.....less power, vibrates some at various speeds, and the transmission hunts, sometimes it hangs up in neutral when off the gas going very slow around a sharp street corner.
