The vents on the passenger side are only cool, but the driver side is cold. It is not a dual zone a/c system. It seems to be not as cold as it was on the drivers' side as well. I'm thinking it might be the heater control valve not closing completely. I'm not sure where it is on the 4.0, it was easy to find on my 99 with the 3.4. My truck is a 06 extended cab 4x4 SR5 auto trans v6. Any ideas?

Before starting this post I searched for my thread title, nothing helpful came up. After posting I just started looking at all A/C threads and found a few with the same problem. A common solution was to check for low 134 charge. I added a 12oz. can and now it blows cold at all the vents.

Ive seen that before it is crazy, I think the evaporator get starved for refridgerant and only half gets cold and the warmer half must be where the pass side air flows out of ducts.

    Just to make things clear.

The Tacoma does not have a heater control valve to regulate heat. The heater core gets full flow all the time. It uses a blend door to regulate the heat.
