I keep reading that with every 1" of lift you can gain 1" of tire size. Is this only for the front or is it the same for the rear as well?

If it is, then if I wanted a 33" tire, I would have to do a 3" front & rear lift, and I wouldn't be able to do a 3" front lift and 1" rear lift; is this right?

If it's not, then what's the max tire size you can fit on stock leafs? And if it's only 1":1" in the front, what's the conversion for the rear?

If you fully stuff a properly lifted suspension, it stuff just as far as a stock suspension. Technically, lifting doesn't allow for larger tires. There are ways around this, of course - to a point. you can either limit the up travel, or move things around a bit, to get a slightly larger tire in there. I run skinny 33s with no rubbing. I did have to change the alignment geometry with LR UCAs and remove the stock mudflaps to get here.

Ultimately, trimming is the best way to fit larger tires.
