Does anybody know which way the ball joint should go to adjust the camber negatively on the light racing ucas? I pushed them in thinking that's what they should be but my camber seems worse.

OK Guys, I'm going crazy trying to get an alignment and need some help...

Took my 2016 DCLB TRD Sport with 275 70 17 tires 17x9 wheel with -12mm offset to get aligned after installing Icon suspension and SPC UCA (2.5" of lift in front). The shop I took it to sells and installs the SPC UCA, so I figured they knew what they were doing.

I went in stating I had some bad cab rub, they moved the UCA to the 'G' setting and I walked out with the First Alignment specs as follows(L/R):

    • Caster 1.2/1.6
    • Camber 0.6/0.5
    • Toe 0.5/0.5
Drove like an old jeep with bad ball joints, wtf?! They took away all the caster!

Did my homework here on TacomaWorld(Thanks everyone) as well as SPC FAQ; went in today requesting prescribed specs of 3/0/0(Caster/Camber/Toe). Shop owner called me up before beginning work stating his concern with my numbers and that he's done thousands of these and always put them back to factory spec. If I go through with the numbers he's concerned about tire wear, wont warranty anything and next alignment will cost me. I said, fine, let's get it started per my requested specs.

    New alignment Specs(L/R):
    • Caster 3.1/3.3
    • Camber 0.4/0.4
    • Toe 0.0/0.0
Net results: much better ride, slight pull to the right, CAB RUB. Tech said he ran the cams all the way forward per request and moved the UCA arm to the 'C' setting to get the 3 degree requested caster.

    Questions:
Does anyone know what kind of caster to expect if the cams really are maxed out forward and the UCA in position 'C'?
I know my -12mm offset isn't helping the rubbing problem, but on the 275 70 17, should it really be an issue?
Anybody know of a good alignment shop in Northern Utah?

Thanks all and Happy Fourth of July!

I had a 2 1/2" lift/level and 17" SCS Ray10's with BFG KO2 285/70/17"s on my 2016 TRD OR 2wd today, Driving seems straight, firm and no rubbing on way home, My drive way may be off because of the cracks but I notice a tiny bottom inward slant on Pax front side. These are my shops alinement spec sheet

I apologize but know zero about this stuff, if you can let me know if I should bring it back fro corrections or wether thesis numbers are ok! He did say to bring back 500-1000 miles for check and retorque! But as much as the BFG's cost me I don't want then worn before then!

Ive got some good advise here and this kinda confused me,

"Those 3rd gens sit an inch higher stock than our 2nd gens. I think he's definitely lifted too high."

my TRD OR is a 2WD I don't know if that matters!

This is the lift I got!

    DAYKTO9I2OBK

05-I6 TACOMA 2.5" FRT. I.5" REAR DAYSTAR LEVELLING KIT

    how is this over 3"s

from what Ive gathered these numbers are horrible

I was told under 3" I would be fine but what I'm gathering here from the pro's evidently my 2.5 inch daystar level lift is way over 3"'s!

I guess I'll take it back have them remove the lift and I'll put the stocks rims and tires back on and call it a day! Didn't realize I messed up that bad!

I guess I'm back to square one, no one here in San Antonio, would do a headstrong billy 5100 lift with OME coils and UCA's, I have the money for that but cant find anyone to do it, so I just bought the one above!

Rubbing resolved at another alignment shop that could follow directions. If you're in Northern Utah, don't even bother with Fat Bob's Garage.

I installed the uppers with setting D. Assuming I would add more lift later. Well its been over a year and its not going to happen.
Right now I have 5100 set at .85. 275/70R17 tires.

    Alignment is 2.7 0 0

Thing is, I feel some bump steer and the truck wanders. It has been like that since installing the uppers.

Question is, am I screwing up things by having the uppers set on position D? The alignment specs are where I want them. But would I get better handling if the uppers were set closer to factory?
Or is 2.7 caster at D the same as 2.7 caster at say A?

here are the results after my first alignment.
i specified exactly what i wanted, and they preformed accordingly.
truck was dropped off with the star plate set at D, and now post alignment they are set at C.

Has anyone else had problem getting caster set properly with SPCs? I fought with my truck for a couple hours this morning. Couldn't take enough caster out of the LF and couldn't get enough in the RF. Finally got it to 3.2/3.7 but it was a PITA getting there.
