Did a little off roading on my way back from a camping trip this weekend. No pics of the camp site or the swimming hole unfortunately, just grabbed a few on the drive out. 20160717_114101.jpgI was just posing on this rock, driving over it was not necessary to get back from camp.

The hill right in front of my truck was super steep, first time I using 4 low!

Sweet! I'm live in the Monterey Peninsula so I often explore the northern parts of Los Padres. Which area of LPNF was this trip?

The past few years I've been camping in the Escondido campgrounds. We drive through Fort Hunter Ligget to get there. Lots of trails out there. Rattlesnakes too... Takes about 3 hours from my house near Santa Cruz

Nice, I'm very familiar with that area; Lost Valley, Arroyo Seco and the whole Indians area. What a gem that country is. The Valley Oak Trees in that place are mesmerizing. Was there only a couple weeks ago....

It is one main road through Fort Hunter Ligget, then there are a lot of different trails once you turn into the ondians camp area. There are trails both within the base and in Los Padres. I dont know how legal it is to offroad there but ignorance is bliss.
