I have been looking for a camper top for my tacoma for some time now. Finally found one to match and fit. Its a century brand. Pros? Cons? Anything to look for when I go see it?

Pretty sure I was just looking at the exact same one you're referring to. My advice is to act quickly. They don't last long. Just make sure there is no noticeable damage to the fiberglass.

    century

made in same factory as leer

many people are under the impression they are the same

recently bought a century from a dealer, said they just put a different logo on it.

on the sides, the badge is the same size for the leer badge.

Thanks for the responses guys! I'm pretty excited to find one to fit and match my truck. Wasn't looking forward to paying several hundred for a top then pay a few hundred more to paint it.

Haha ... Ive been looking for one for some time and they are either wrong size or color. If I found one I liked it was too pricey or too far out. Supposed to meet the owner Sunday.

Thats what I've read about them. Of course some people hate them and love Leer and others say both are junk lol :frusty:

My truck came with a Century topper. I really like it. I think the previous owner messed with the locks a bit, so I eventually want to replace those. But otherwise it's great!

    Cough cough ^^^ cough. :boink:

That does suck. I just had the same thing happen to me in my search for a commuter car. She agreed o hold it until I arrived. I was 30 min into an hour drive to buy it and the owner texted and said it was sold.

Keep looking. You'll find one. In the mean time, head over to the TN thread and say hello.
