    My great grandma has an old shotgun that is like that. Apparently, back in the day, she got some mud in the barrel while hunting. Pulled the trigger on some birds and got a surprise.

    You can fire a slug from a full choke no problem. I do it all the time. Ever heard of cut shells? Still fit through a full choke. Get a set of calipers and see for yourself. A barrel obstruction will cause a banana peeled barrel, slugs are safe.
