I thought about doing that on the Stampede....then I said screw it, RPM A arms aren't that expensive and the stockers can be spares. Then I put wheel bearings (I think Traxxas 5116?) on the Rustler and Stampede and threw away the bushings. You can really nickel'n'dime yourself with parts for these things. I do find it cool that Pep Boys carries Traxxas parts in case you break something at 7 when all the hobby stores are closed.

Manny, Moe, and Jack have Traxxas parts? Who knew?

But that 7pm thing is harsh. I can get stuff faster from Amazon since I'm rarely home before they close.

With all the Amazon warehouses out here they better have it to your house quick. Then again Bay area traffic....

Most stuff arrives the next day. Though it's not always clear when it won't. I have Hobby Town and Hobby People near me. Then Sheldon's a bit farther away. Of the three, Sheldon's is better for hop-up parts but it's a bitch to get to on a good day.

I wanted something to go along with the ECX Amp MTs I got my kids. So I found a used TA SC10 roller in good shape and bought it. It'll be home in a week maybe and I'll get it up and running.

I also have developed a strange fetish for Losi Micros lately. I traded scx10 parts for a Micro HighRoller and then bought enough spares to build a second one as well as a DT. Except I can't find the HR body or wheels. Then I found a two complete used Losi Micros with a spare body and two sets of wheels/tires each for $30. So I bought them, too.

Also got a set of ar60s coming to resurrect my Wroncho. I haven't decided to do it as the Brodozer again or back to the shorter Honcho body. Or maybe find some other Proline body.

Decided to pick up another 1/8th scale. A Yeti XL.

This thing is massive. Not quite as big as the Xmaxx. Definitely a torque monster. Speedy and definitely does not like steering input combined with throttle input :D Rolled it three or four times before the batteries gave out. Takes two batteries...lol.

In Estes Park, CO enjoying a vacation and decided to bring my wraith along. If anyone here lives in the mountains, you are very lucky! Endless places to crawl and good for unwinding at the end of the day. Iowa doesnt have anything like this...

Short video, filming with one hand, driving with the other.

Quite a bit of RC enthusiasts on here. I'll have to get some pics up. I have a Mini Erevo, an Arrma Talion truggy and a big E Revo. RC is a fun hobby but it is expensive just like the real trucks haha.

I just made a straw purchase for a coworker. I work in Mexico and he's been oogling the pics of my RCs. So he started looking and wanted a Yeti XL until I showed the price tag. I scrounged up a used, non XL, for $225, two 3s 3000mAh, AC/DC digital balance charger, and an extra set of wider Traxxas wheels/tires. All the above for $321 shipped to to my house. I get to play with it for a few weeks then bring it in country to give it away.

The local Hobby People built a small course outside the store-it's a new center so seeing that was nice surprise. It's got a small wooden ramp and some concrete blocks. Some of which are pretty lightweight and I spun a couple out of the area.

It was nice to try that course out. The XL isn't really the rig for that but a lot of fun regardless.

I got my buddy's Yeti dressed out with some blingy wheels, as per request. The ring and pinion in the rear axle was nearly sharp enough to cut. So I've ordered a replacement and I tore down the tranny and regreased it.
    image.jpg

I rebuilt the suspension on my newly acquired used TA SC10. New wheels and tires, too. Running a 2100kV with 31/78 pinion/spur. It'll get out at about 23mph on 2s. I'm getting happier about this one each time I run it.
    image.jpg

My 6yo and me put together an ECX Amp MT after school Friday. She zoned out after the 3rd parts bag. So we painted the body and I finished it off with a 45t motor vs. the supplied 21t.

    Build thread in sig...
got a week long beach trip to north Carolina coming up. went to gather up everything I need for my revolt 30'', and realized that I had not replaced the burnt up ESC and what I believe is a dying motor. can't guarantee that I can get the parts in in time for the trip, so I decided to pick up a slick little Atomik Barbwire 17. at 1'', is just over half the size of my revolt, so it's a good deal smaller, but has a very deep V, and is self righting! should be a blast to jump around in the surf at the beach, and is small enough that I'll be able to toss it in my kayak on the intercoastal waterway, and zoom around if the fish aren't biting. picked up a load of spare parts and upgrades. looking forward to testing it out (maybe this weekend), and reviewing it.
