    Ask and ye shall receive!

Just wrapped up an hour ago. Used 3 of these as the mounts -- just had to enlarge two holes and add two holes per bracket. Quick hit of primer and paint and we're in business!

Total cost: < $15, with paint and stainless hardware!

Thanks, I'm loving the whole setup!

I made little limit straps out of paracord to keep the canopy door from interfering with the awning:

    image.jpg

Otherwise the lift struts would push the door too high, but these will work nicely.

The awning mounts are pretty easy to eyeball once you get them home and take a look. Just mounted using more ¾" carriage bolts (¼-20, like everything else).

I love how low the awning is on the rack, I guess you could mount the mounts on top so the top of the awning is taller and goes over the door? Idk.. I'm such a tall guy I'm scared I'll scrape my head on the awning, but I'm also worried about wind resistance

Yeah, totally a "choose-your-own-adventure" situation. I opted for lo-profile, but just as easily could have mounted the awning with the lower portion of the L brackets on top of the crossbar. Home Depot has a number of similar hardware so it's all kind of up to however you feel like doing it. I found that these fit just right for my application.

Right on! Love helping others spend $$$ haha. The width is perfect. It overhangs the rack left and right by 3.5" (each side), but still sits well within the envelope of the truck bed (canopy tapers obviously as it rises from the bed rails).

Finalizing and painting 4 more mounts for my soon-to-be-ordered ARB 2000 awning. ARB 2000 will be mounted on the passenger side of the canopy.

Also did a couple test-fits with the mountain bikes to ensure appropriate mount orientation/location. Verdict: Working perfectly! I've got two 15 x 100mm thru-axle and two 20 x 110mm thru-axle mounts up top + a tray-style 2-bike hitch carrier I can add if need be.

For the 6' one do you feel that the rear canopy rack is sufficient for mounting? Just using the two poles off of the canopy rack?

I'll be mounting the 6.5' awning with four homemade mounts, attached to every other roof rack crossbar. It should be pretty bombproof.

Those does sound bomb proof. However I only have the two cross bars.

Hahaha oh I hear ya! It was a long 2 month wait for me too. Hugely impressed with these fork mounts for the money ($15-20/ea) -- Kuat "dirtbag" mounts.

He lives 5 minutes from my house so I don't have to wait for shipping and last I heard they were just getting powdercoated then I'll pick them up.

Are they pretty easy to mount??

Are what easy to mount? The racks or the fork mounts?

Yep, easy-peasy. Used two 3/4" long, stainless 1/4"-20 carriage bolt + fender washer + split lock washer + stop nut per fork mount.

Did you line up the tracks on your shell with the mounting feet on the roof rack?
