TRD Off Road Wheels Painted Black?

Anyone ever do this. Paint the chrome part black. Really interested to see what they'd look like.

I'm not a fan of buying wheels. I just hate that bit of chrome. Especially on my black truck which ive debadged, destickered, and painted bumper and grill. It's the missing link.

 

I bet they would look good.

Might have to give the good ole plast dip a try.

 

Somebody powder coated theirs and they looked great - can't find the picture again though.

 

Bit of chrome? I think i am confused... My '16 OR wheels were painted MGM with a machined aluminum face. The only thing chrome on my wheels were the lug nuts. What are you wanting to paint black?

 

he is probably talking about the aluminum part that is not black, its not actually chrome but it is silvery color.

Try this thread. I know I've seen the sport wheels blacked out here, but I'm not sure about the offroad.

Took the time to tape off behind the wheel, then just painted all over the tire?? Lol

 

My trick to derp wheels is to using an old set of playing cards to stack around them. Works pretty good.

 

I heard 4x6 note cards do the trick

 

Even better and cheaper!

 

How has this held up? Any wheeling time on them?
