Hey guys, I have been thinking of taking a road trip from Southern California to Washington state this November. I have an '08 TRD Offroad 4x4 with about 127k. I haven't ventured out too far with it yet. Is there any reason not to take my truck??
Suggestions for things to see or do on the way are also welcomed!

Only you know the condition of your truck. The mileage is not much a factor here if maintained properly.

I keep it pretty well-maintained. Shocks got replaced not too long ago, and I have yet to have a problem with any of the mechanical components of the truck. I should probably get the leaf springs replaced due to the infamous recall before then though...

Not a bad idea to have it inspected and fluids changed if they haven't been changed recently. The only thing I'd be worried about is the water pump with that many miles, but that can go out at 60k, or never. Also, you might want to look at the last time you replaced the battery.

Cool, thanks for the suggestions. I just replaced the battery a few months ago, so it should be good to go.

No reason why you shouldn't, it seems like your on top of your services, i would agree with benzy about the water pump. Mine didn't go out on me till about 170K, im now at 210K. Other than that make sure your tires are all good and give it a good once over.

If you are in excess of 350K it might be some thing to think about.

Do any of you have any experience driving the BF Goodrich Rugged Trail tires in the snow? Not a whole lot of inclement weather here...
