Most of mine are white pine in the lawn area. The leaves that do fall though, I just mulch with the lawnmower.

Some of my buddies and me are going to see Black Sabbath on Thursday night. Old men rock! Lol

 

I'll be doing that on Saturday..saw Prophets of Rage last night

 

Had a poplar do that behind my house earlier this summer. Looked completely healthy, and then BAM! Down she came. Now I'm eyballing all of the rest of the poplars on the property, lol. Especially the big ones behind my garage...

 

I think it's some sort of revenge plot.

 

Ugh. I've got a bunch of big 60-footers behind the garage. A couple of them have already started shedding branches, so I think they're going to have to say buh-bye once the leaves are off the trees this fall.

 

Here's one in my front yard - white oak. About 18' circumference at the base. Thought to be the oldest tree in town. When I've had arborists work on it, they all do the same thing: Look up and say "wow that's a big tree"... (BTW, the flagpole is a 20'er)

 

I had one taken down in my yard that was about that size. I couldn't get my arms all the way around it at the base. It was a shame to take it down but ants had gotten to it and the whole center was rotten. I had to way someone to take it down, I didn't have the equipment to cut it up.

 

I've taken down several large trees on my property. Anything in range of the house goes. One left, an 80ft Black Gum that is starting to get diseased. Think I'll have that taken down this Winter.

After working several hurricanes and ice storms in my 33 year lineman career and seeing the damage done by these rotted monsters,I've concluded trees belong in the forest.

 

Back in 2012, a Firefighter in a neighboring town was responding to a call during the hurricane where he was crushed by these trees. We helped remove trees and then did our thing replacing broken poles and wires.

I did and thank you! The Retros are acting funny though...dealer ordered me OEM TRD set to put back in possibly

 

I knew it! Everyday I drove by that tacoma and always noticed the retrofits. If you don't want them I'll trade you my headlights! I have a TRD sport too

 

I am sure Uncle Sam appreciates the ot tonight but it has been a long day that won't end till 3:30 pm

 

Time to drive back to parking garage for a (hopefully) 2 hour nap
