Finally finished my wheels off with nice black lug nuts.... What a difference it makes(to me at least). Looks so much better than with the stock silver ones.

 

Where'd you order your lugs from? Part number? Looks good. Those KO2's are sexy!

 

someone gave me the info of course. I was having a hard time finding good ones. But these are real good quality. Look just like OE but black. And you can tell the black won't come off. Only bad part is kind of expensive. Cost around $100 to do them all.

I actually prefer the stock lug nuts, I like the contrast. At least you went white letters out, that adds some contrast.

 

That's what i thought also. But when you see them in real life i think you'd like the black better. My stock were all beat up and just didn't look right. Now when i look it just seems right.

But i didn't hate the silver ones. Looks a little meaner now(to me). It's not like the pics when you look at the whole truck in the daylight. It's much better to me. But then again i have ZERO style and or taste.

 

I went with the white letters in on mine but I have gunmetal wheels. With the black wheels and the black tires, I like the white letters out so you can tell the difference between the tire and wheel. That is the major flaw with black on black to me.

Here is my tacoma, I hated the look. You can't tell where the wheel ends and the tire begins. I grew to not like it at all. I might have liked it with white lettered KO2's.

I think it looks so much better with contrast. I also went with black lug nuts on my Tacoma, I wish I stayed chrome.

 

That was a long thought process for me also. Black or white letters. I couldn't decide for a while. Crashnburn80 helped me with my decision. Now i'm glad i did. I hate to say it but the best part is washing them and spaying the letters with Bleach-white and having them look new every time i wash the truck. Nothing better!!!!

 

It looks like most people on this thread are running 265 70 17's, would it be a bad idea to run 265 65 17's to stay with the stock tire size?

 

When I say stock I mean going from a 265 70 16 to 265 65 17.

 

Would 285 70r 17's fit the 17x8 wheel? I have an 08' trd sport with a 2 inch leveling kit and an add a leaf in the rear. Running MB wheels with a -6 offset. Will these have the same stance? They stick out about an inch from the fender and I love that look

 

FYI, I believe they're 17x7. They have about .75 inch of offset so they stick out farther than stock wheels.

 

Damn. I though I've seen some that are 17x8. Must be the ebay copy cat

 

Yeah, probably. Either way, I believe your tire will still fit.

 

I'll probably wait to make sure. I need the same offset for the stance I like

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering the same thing ? I know in early post guys said they are running the 265 - 65 but is that OK to do? Thanks guys !

Edit : OK never mind I looked it up. They don't recommend running a 265 65 17 on a 7in wide wheel. Oh well .

 

I do believe they make a 17x8. I've seen several forsale. I'm planning on (when I get my tax return) doing a 385 70r17 on the 17x8s

 

The 17x8s are not made by Toyota so take that into account before purchase. When I bought mine , being an actual Toyota part was not a trivial factor.
