For a short period of time, it was good to remember how much fun she is off road though.

    @mizzac

I currently have a ruffstuff front range harness for ash. They are a bit pricier so you might be able to find a basic/cheaper harness for the first year and a half while he grows. I use this one for hikes/woods since its built tough, won't rub him raw, and it works well with a check cord.

For walks I have been using a Sensation Harness. It was ~$30 and by far the best investment I have made. I highly suggest getting one since it really helps to keep dogs from wanting to pull.

And since most people don't know about check cords, I'll also suggest you pick up a 30ft check cord to help teach him the command "come" as well as start to train him to stay within 30ft of you while off leash.

Ya that sensation harness was the one I remember you mentioning. That ruffstuff one looks nice, I'll save that for when he hits full size.

Those sensation ones look great. He stays right by me while walking right now but trying to get him used to being ona leash, hes not a fan overly lol.

Thats a good idea on the check cords, I'll defiantely look into one of those. Thanks for the advice man!!

What size did you get for Ash? The reviews mentioned that with the long hair may need to size up. I feel like I probably only need a medium on the ruff harness but figured I'd ask.

I would just measure him and determine the size off that. I want to say ash is a large but he is between large/xlarge on most things. He has a pretty thick chest.

I think I am going to finally put some cash towards a sewing machine. I have been looking for a winter hobby that doesn't break the bank. Hoping to make basic storage sacks, stuff sacks, woobies and lastly, a 6 -8 man tipi to replace my 4 man.

Hopefully this will be one of those hobbies that pays for itself. Outdoor gear is rediculously expensive.

I did not know that existed. I talked with Timmy on here about it before (I'd tag him but I can't keep up with his username changes).

True, but making stuff or even repairing is good therapy.

That's debatable. Everyone said the same about fly fishing. Once you have a rod, reel and some flies it's pretty cheap. Probably spent less than $30 this summer and fishes a handful of times. I just reuse flies and line.

Sewing may have an upfront cost, but if I save $20 here and there on simple items like stuff sacks and zippered pouches. Then why not?

But yeah, everything can get expensive. But it's something to do in the winter and a good skill to have.

Texas Police gave me a call today to inform me my Yamaha R6 was involved in a high speed pursuit last night. I sold it 3 years ago...

The detective has been great and is hoping we can get him information on who I sold it to so he can track down the last owner to release the bike to. Life is weird.

That is crazy man! Do you make a seller agreement that you kept? Also crazy that the person you sold it to never registered it.

I had a bill of sale that was notarized by a guy I knew. Not sure I still have the bill of sale. I might have put it in the "important" document folder but I honestly can't remember. I am going to see if my friend still has his notary book that would have all his information.

On a side note - Have you been using the fat tire bike this summer? I am considering one for this winter a commute of 3 miles.
