I've got a buddy who has them who swears by them. I need an all terrain so me personally will be getting the St Maxx's.

Hey man, just wanted to say that I dig your installs. Nice work! I also take pride in making sure things look clean and as factory as possible so I can appreciate the planning and execution of your installs.

Hey man quick question about your sound system. I know you went with Memphis Audio but what did they use to keep stock headunit and use aftermarket speakers?

I took it to a sound shop in town for them to do it. I think they just spliced in to the harness. Unfortunately I dont know more than that.

Cool man. I'll take it to a local shop after I do a 2014 nav swap into my 07. Is Memphis really that good? I had plans for kickers front rear and sub but am open to other options that aren't necessarily JL or Rockford I just hear those names the most and tend to like being different. So any help in that regard would be cool too

I like my Memphis stuff so far. The only thing I changed was the Memphis sub to a different class kicker. I've debated though swapping again to another class of Memphis to get the bass range I'm looking for. Also does your access cab have speakers in the rear suicide doors?

I do have them in there from the factory. I also have the old style fold flat jump seats in the back. So things get a little tricky in terms of the subwoofer options. I thought about doing one of the kicker rt series that come will a box on the Molle panel they have floating around here (I'm 99% sure the access cab version is out now) since i never have passengers. I guess I'll just have to find what works best for my ears.

Side note I have considered something like this

So you have speakers in the doors? Is it fabric and I can't tell? The only reason I ask Is because I had to have them mounted in my doors cause the 14's have the second set of speakers in the ceiling. And those sucked.

Yeah I do have them in the doors. I don't have them in the ceiling.

Yeah it's fabric. Looks like carpet almost. I think they also built a door to still be able to access the storage area underneath.

That would explain why mine already had the bracket behind the panel then. Cool.

Met a few real good friends for some light camping this weekend! Had to get a photo before we all left.

I mounted it so it could be quickly taken out to have the full bed again. Once I get a hand here I'll do the final tightenging and paint it black.

You can use what is called a "line out converter" or you can use a "digital sound processor".
