Hello, this morning as I was going about my daily routine I jumped in the truck put it in 1st gear and my truck would not move, I put it in reverse and it would not move. As I was hitting the gas the truck wanted to move but it felt as if something was stopping it. My driveway sits on an inclined angle and as I released the parking break it didn't move while in neutral. So I am assuming that it was the parking break. I am not sure if it was the parking break or not.. Any ideas of what it may have been?

The day before I had driven on roads that were full with water at times the water was pretty deep and the currents were strong..

Yep! Thats what sounds like. The shoes probably were hot and got welded to the rotor. Just. My .02 cents. Hope you get it resolved.

There is no rotor. Drum Brakes in the rear. Stuck maybe, but not welded.

It sounds like some rear brake maintenance is in order.

It's also possible that the drums or the parking brake cables got filled with mud and are just hung up.

If it's a brake issue you'll want that sorted out asap, last thing you want is for them to get all squirrelly on you when you're driving.

I would bet the pads on the shoe came apart like mine and wedged locking it up.

Mine did the same thing about 40k and was grinding and lo king up.
Broke spring and the shoe was falling apart.

They covered it after a fight and then showing them the TSB.

But they took 2 full days in the shop that I could not use the truck.

BTW they also would not let me take a picture of the crap....
I wanted to post it up here.
    Could not keep the parts.
Think that is why they covered it all.
I was going to take the parts so I could get detailed info on why they failed and show them to the NHTSA and or NTSB.
