    They are cast instead of forged to reach a price point and a larger market segment. Vises can get spendy and there is a market for the entry level stuff.

    /\/\/\ This. Most diy guys don't necessarily need that level of vise, but if you run production you def want it. Replaceable vice teeth too.

    If you run production on a trail vice i think you need to tone down on the trails you choose.
