Alright, pedal box bolts it is. I'm checking the OEM plug attached to the trucks wiring. I did check continuity on the Tekonsha harness and it all checks out ok

If the OEM plug attached to the truck from the factory doesn't have power, there could be a few things wrong. Either a fuse is blown, your meter is not properly grounded, or there's actually something wrong with the truck which is much less likely. Check each and every fuse visually. Remove the fuse and look at it, do this with the keys out of the ignition of course. Do not pull fuses with the truck running. Sorry if this is something you already know, I just have to say it lol

It's fine lol, I just wasn't sure if there was an extra step I was missing. I'll pull the fuse when I'm out at my truck, 10 more minutes left at work lol. Hopefully lot security won't mind

To add to this, just so you know what wires do what, which you may already know. In the aftermarket plug, Black is 12V+ and white is actually the ground. Red is the 12V signal from the pedal, blue is the 12V signal out to the trailer plug on your rear bumper.

Any idea what wire on the OEM plug is +12v? That would help a lot

Unfortunately I don't know the color but maybe this will help. Looks like pin 8

Your truck came with the tow package but was missing the fuse? How can that even be? What else were you missing, now you've got me curious.

Well, IIRC I'm the second or third owner, so there were already a few things "weird" with the truck when I got it, the trailer hitch plug had been busted, replaced and busted again and just left tucked in the hitch, I had to fix that, then there's the fuse issue, I need to look tonight when I'm off work to see what other fuses I might be missing.

Also I'm 99% sure, based on paperwork from Toyota when I got my spring recall done, that the P/O tried to get Toyota to buy the truck back at 80k under the accelerator pedal bullshit, got no sold by the dealer, and then just dumped it at 100k, which is why I got a screaming deal on it.

That fuse you are talking about is for the trailer brake, you have to install the fuse if you add a trailer brake unit.

Can't building a garage. Did you see the lifted, locked & bobbed 1982 Toyota pu rock crawler on Baltimore CL earlier this week for $4500? It had a rebuilt 22re which is fuel injected, 5 speed, dual Tcases, 529 gears, winch, custom bumpers. Looked nice for the $$$. It was in Sykesville. The ad wasn't up for long.

Standard ATM fuses fit fine, plenty of room under the cover. At least there is on my 16
