Is it just me, or does Hulu show a lot more commercials now?

Same. The main reason I cut the cable was commercials. Second reason was price. $12 a month for no commercials is a great deal for me.

I think the last time I used Hulu was before the no commercial option. Maybe they've increase the number of commercials to get people to pay more :notsure:. I ditched cable years ago because paying $140 a month wasn't worth the little bit of TV I was watching.

So, I just posted my Thecus N8800PRO 8-bay NAS for sale over in our AZ Classifieds thread, and I had mentioned that I am selling because of my new build has replaced the need for the Thecus NAS. For anyone interested, here is the new build I did.

Built a ESXi Host running two VM's (so far). One for UnRaid and the other for Plex, here are the specs both H/W and S/W.

    Hardware
    Case - Zalman MS800
    Motherboard - X8DTL-3F
CPU - Dual Xeon E5530's (16 logical processors)
    RAM - 48GB DDR3 ECC Registered
    Coolers - Dual CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo's
    Hard Drives - (5) 3TB Hard drives, (2) 120GB SSD's, (2) 250GB SSD's
    Hot Swap - (3) Rosewill 3 5.25" into 4 3.5" hot swap cages
    Power Supply - Corsair RM850i
Raid Cards - Dual Dell PERC H310's

    Software
    Running ESXi baremetal
"converted" one of the Dell H310's to an LSI so that I could allow for passthrough of the Raid card, then have the (5) 3TB drives and (2) 120GB drives hooked up to that card
The other H310 was just updated to the most current stock firmware and I have the (2) 250GB SSD's in a RAID 1 so that my data store is mirrored
UnRaid VM running 6.1.9 is using the (5) 3TB and (2) 120GB SSD's. (4) of the 3TB drives are for data with the 5th as a parity drive. The other (2) 120GB SSD's are mirrored as Cache drives
Secondary VM running Plex, Sonarr, and Sabnzdb for all of my media needs

So far, I am thoroughly impressed with this system and it runs pretty quiet...for everything that is in there. If anybody needs anyhelp doing something similar I could help out.

It better damn well be better than a Note 3. The Note 3 was an upgraded Note 2 before the released the Note 4.

I'm waiting for the Note 7 until I can confirm there is full root. Not going through this stock phone bullshit ever again.

I just wanted to vent, how fawking difficult it was to find a laptop with a native serial/rs232 port. It was like that shitty movie national treasure going between Amazon/ebay/frys/dell outlet before finally finding a 10yr old piece of computer history. Before anyone says it, I cannot use a usb>serial adapter.

Why did you need that port?

To program/troubleshoot gps units in semi trailers. It reads the voltage over serial so no adapters would work from my research. I found a dell with a c2d, serial, on board bluetooth and cdma. Pretty robust little machine.

The toughbooks had them. When I worked at TMO we would buy those for the tower techs. They also had issues with serial to usb adapters.

The toughbooks are an attractive option however seem to be lacking in specs for the price range.

We may be interested as we're also going to be making it a pos system for field repairs. We will need spares.

I hated working with the tough books honestly. Some of the techs used workstation laptops with SSDs, but this was when you could still get a serial port and SSDs were 800$ for 75gb. Because they get knocked around while driving running TOPO maps and heading up dirt roads to remote towers we needed to minimize blown HDs cause it happened a lot.
Quite a few laptops took falls from towers and even falls with techs landing on them. It is possible to blow up a tough book, ive seen it.
