I would love to put fog lights in there place, but again, I have no clue about wiring!

Do you have a switch inside the cab for the fog lights?

From the looks like there had been fogs at one time before that bumper was put on.

For now you need to remove the lights there and safely hide the wires to pass inspection since they are not needed.

if you can wait until this weekend, I can come by and we can figure it out.

If not, i know a "ghetto" station in fairfax, that should pass you. I passed on my previous car with tires rubbing body, and in need of lower control arm bushings

I do have a switch for fog lights. I'm sure there were fog lights on the stock bumper but the ARB didn't have fog light inserts. It's an older model ARB I think

find some LED lights that will fit current space....

In the meantime take a pic of the other side for wiring reference unhook and stuff the wires so you can pass inspection...

Just make sure they are DOT approved and have the stamp on them or you are gonna be right back in the same boat you are currently in.

^^ This. My fogs and headlight bulbs match the stock beam patterns but because they do not have the DOT stamps I have to take them out for inspection time. The inspector watches me do it every time and laughs.

well, my 1 year of ownership is coming up next month. Guess I need to take mine off. Or go to my ghetto station. Can I still pass without a sway bar?

I think I need to look into some fog light covers for when I get some new LED lights. Maybe that way I can get around the inspection issue. It sounds like they have really gotten hard on this "DOT approved" stuff lately.

Yeah, they don't care about sway bars. When it comes to suspension they only care about damaged suspension components that could be a safety issue.

I think you are right. Some ARB bumpers dont have fog light cutouts in them. I think if you removed the lights, you should be good. I believe those are either auxiliary turn signals or parking lights and if your turn signals and parking lights in your headlight housings work, you should be covered. If you want to splice them into your existing lights to make them functional, its pretty easy to do.

It's nice to have a nice aluminum bumper that only weighs 5 lbs more than stock! The winch doesn't help that total weight out, but at least it won't rust away!

That's my favorite thing about my bumper, I never have to worry about touching up the paint! I do enough of that crap with my skids, sliders, and rear bumper.
