Oh yea, the Orvis Encounter combo is a good kit. I've got a buddy that bought one. Very nice for $160 rod/reel/line.

I've got a 2wt, 4wt, couple 5wts, 6wt, and a couple of 7/8wts. The 4wt has been used the most by far FWIW.
The only time I use my 5wt is whenever I'm fishing tailgaters in the southeast and I have the potential to hook into 30+" Browns. IMO, a 7'6" 4wt is way for useful than a 9' 5wt unless all your going to be fishing is bigger water.

    Just my 2 cents.

    All on 5wt & I'm sure a 4wt would have been fine.

I use julies Shuttle in Swan Valley or Steve at the gas station in Ririe. Don't have much of a choice in a commercial operation. Never had a problem with their driving except eating in my truck.

That's been the ticket lately around here. If the rubber legs won't cut it, switch over to a big ass Stone Fly.

I tie a variation of a Royal Wullf - natural deer hair instead of calf body hair and orange band instead of red - and its been my ticket all summer long. Those and flashback hairs ears.

Thanks. They tricked the fish I posted on the last page, along with probably 200 more this summer.
